Halo Wars: Definitive Edition gets a Steam Edition

Microsoft’s exclusive franchise, Halo Wars, has been added to Valve’s Steam Store recently. Halo Wars is originally developed by Ensemble Studios exclusively for the Xbox 360 and remastered by Behaviour Interactive to go along in a bundle for Halo Wars 2 by Creative Assembly. It has been known that Microsoft exclusive games are solely released only on their Windows Store (given their reputation and competition with Valve).

If you look at the reviews section — with mostly positive feedback from the Steam community — the game just got recently added on Steam’s Store today. As far as anyone is concerned, the Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare limitation from consumers who bought the game from Windows Store is the inability to play with Steam players. Now, this wouldn’t be different for Halo Wars since both servers from Microsoft and Steam are different and unable to cross-play.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is now available on both Steam and Microsoft’s Windows Store.
