2017 is one of the best years in gaming. Blockbuster pieces from Guerrilla Games, another enthralling adventure in the Uncharted franchise, a remaster done right for both Crash Bandicoot and StarCraft, the Rabbids invasion of the Mushroom Kingdom, and dozen more to mention.
As we draw closer to the final quarter of 2017, there are still tons of titles to be excited about – especially in the months of October and November. Forza Motorsport 7

The new installment for the Forza Motorsport franchise. While we can see its full potential running in 4K with 60FPS on Xbox One X this November, we all get a nice treat especially for race simulator lovers as Forza Motorsport 7 brings in the dynamic weather and customizable drivers.
A Hat In Time

We have had great 3D platformers such as Yooka-Laylee, Little Nightmares, and the Crash Bandicoot remaster. And it’s never bad to get more of it. A Hat In Time continues what makes platformers great: the adorable world you get to explore.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War

The conclusion entry of Talion’s adventures in the realm of J.R.R Tolkien’s world of Orcs, Men, Dwarves, Elves, and Wizards. While the inclusion of micro-transaction was rather a ballsy move by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Shadow of War does have a lot of promise as the revamp and highly improved Nemesis system takes players into a whole new immersive and emotional experience.
The Evil Within 2

There are much more to expect in this sequel. As the world gets the taste of fear and monstrosity, players will get tons of entertainment. The open levels will also encourage players to do a bit of exploration for secrets.
Gran Turismo Sport

Gran Turismo Sport is just not your regular sport racing simulator as Polyphony Digital has successfully pushed for FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) support on the game. We will get those awesome digital FIA license cards and can officially compete in the FIA Gran Turismo Online Championships and represent your country. Polyphony has achieved something incredible here. Plus, the PlayStation VR support gives the players a new professional race simulator experience.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole
Developer: Ubisoft | Publisher: Ubisoft | Release Date: October 17
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
The gang is back and this time you get to be a super-hero – well not entirely. The plot is a simple follow-up after the events in The Stick of Truth. Additionally, the developers included this new interesting difficulty option where the darker your character’s skin tone is the harder the game gets. We can’t wait what other fart jokes and toilet humor The Fractured But Whole has to offer.
Assassin’s Creed Origins

After a year break from launching Assassin’s Creed games by Ubisoft, they are back and this time we will learn and understand the creation of the Creed – the Assassin Brotherhood. Set in ancient Egypt, the world seems to be more alive than what we had experience in the previous Assassin’s Creed entries. The combat has been fully revised as well thus making the wrist-blade incapable of doing one-hit kills without upgrades.
Super Mario Odyssey

One of the reasons why I’m getting a Nintendo Switch next month. Super Mario Odyssey brings back Mario and this time, in other realms – or in short, Kingdoms. You get to explore the city of what we think is New York and other worlds. Players can freely roam in this realms, possibly look for secrets and easter eggs. His new cap named as “Cappy” can also take control of NPCs!
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Nazi America, it’s an interesting sight to see. This second installment in the Wolfenstein reboot gives a whole new look at the greatest country in the world. It will also feature new cool stuffs like how your character will organically react to the environments. You can dual wield different guns and a hatchet for gruesome kills! One great note to add: it’s coming to Nintendo Switch next year.
Call of Duty: WWII

Activision went back through time and totally skipped a new sci-fi shooter. Call of Duty: WWII is going to be the first AAA World War II-based first-person shooter. The Private Beta showed us the multiplayer’s potential; and the recently revealed Story Trailer gave us a glimpse of what players will experience in an emotional plot set for your squad in the U.S First Infantry Division.
Need for Speed: Payback
Developer: Ghost Games | Publisher: Electronic Arts| Release Date: November 10
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
The latest Need for Speed entry will feature an almost cliche plot from racing movies such as the Fast and the Furious. The inclusion of the day and night cycle and dynamic weather adds to that immersive experience. And one thing is for sure, offline mode is possible which means you don’t have to play the single-player mode online!
Star Wars Battlefront II
Developer: DICE| Publisher: Electronic Arts| Release Date: November 17
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
2015’s Star Wars Battlefront was a trainwreck. Leaving players with no other choice but to buy DLCs and its overly expensive price tag for a Season Pass to experience the whole set. The absence of a single-player campaign was also a big turn-off for some. However, this sequel fixes all of those mistakes. DICE has included a story mode and ditched the paid DLC route which makes all content for Star Wars Balttefront II free. The open beta will start next month on October 6, and as of today, the season pass for Star Wars Battlefront is currently free for grabs until October 5.
