Assassin’s Creed Origins Runs Horribly On PC Compared To Xbox One X

We know how diverse and difficult it is to develop and optimize triple-A titles on PC than consoles. And this does not exclude Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins.

According to a preview article posted by Wccftech, the PC version is just as bad as Assassin’s Creed Unity. Dave Aubrey, one of Wccftech’s reviewer who tried the game at EGX 2017, stated that the game was limited to 30-frames per second and also cited that the issues were on-par with the early version of Assassin’s Creed Unity – there were constant stuttering unlike the Xbox One X version.

I actually tried the PC version under the impression I could witness up-to 60FPS, but instead I was plagued by what was below 30FPS, constantly. Constant stutter hampered my experience, ruining both gameplay and visual fidelity. The issue here, on the PC version, truly is on par with early Assassin’s Creed: Unity, a game infamous for poor performance on launch – though it should be said, gameplay I witnessed on the Xbox One X version of the game had no such issues from what I could see.[/alert]

Ubisoft has still one month to improve the PC version and we hope to ‘not’ see another Assassin’s Creed Unity incident.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this October 27.
