2017 was a year filled with amazing games. We’ve got to experience a whole new universe set by Guerrilla Games in their post-apocalyptic role-playing game Horizon: Zero Dawn and the adventures of Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Just like some games online like those casino arcade games variation, there are puzzles that would definitely get you hooked.
And this year is going to blow you up with massive game launches from Rockstar Games, the critically acclaimed reboot from SIE Santa Monica Studio, and the upcoming superhero open-world game from Insomniac Games.
What more can others want this year? There are tons, really. But there are those games that will catch you, get you hooked, pique your interest, and give you that unique experience that other games don’t on your PlayStation 4, so we list you those 5 best games for your PlayStation below to give you a better idea of what to get this year.
God of War
Developed by SIE Santa Monica Studio, the reboot of their God of War franchise strays away from Greek mythology and welcomes the Norse gods and goddesses. It deviates from its classic hack n’ slash mechanics to a closer view that gives the players a more cinematic experience that complements its narrative.
Our friendly-neighborhood Spidey swings exclusively to the PS4 later this year. With an experienced second-party developer like Insomniac Games, they will surely give justice to the title and create Spider-Man game that everyone is waiting for. If ever Photo Mode is going to be made available in the game, imagine how many awesome screenshots and poses you can do. It’s going to be a masterpiece.
Red Dead Redemption 2
As you ride again to the wild-west on your horse, Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated open-world gunslinging action is finally going to release this year. It’s technically a prequel so that’s pre-John Marston era and will tell the tale of the Dutch van der Linde gang member, Arthur Morgan.
Detroit: Become Human
Quantic Dream is pushing the bar in interactive drama games as their upcoming android-focused story is going to give players the wheel to drive the story, and to decide who lives and who dies. As it tells the story of how androids are treated, how they’re discriminated by humans, it’s going to give an emotional journey for players. Detroit: Become Human is going to launch later this month on May 25.
Kingdom Hearts III
The Disney crossover in the world of video-games is coming to an end. Considered to be the final installment of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Sora is going to need the help from iconic characters from Toy Story, Big Hero 6, and Monsters’ Inc. It’s said to launch later this year and we hope to see more about the game at E3 2018.
