The Witcher 3 Game Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has recently left game company CD Projekt RED after a controversy in the workplace has surfaced.
Media outlet Bloomberg reported that there were bullying allegations in the workplace of CD Projekt RED, but the ex-director denies them. It seems the company has been conducting a months-long investigation in the accusations of mobbing. Mobbing is a Polish term for office bullying and this was against Tomaszkiewicz. The investigation found out that he was not guilty, but he just decided to leave anyway. He felt the discomfort between him and the staff.
“Nonetheless, a lot of people are feeling fear, stress or discomfort when working with me,” Tomaszkiewicz shared. He has apologized to the staff “for all the bad blood I have caused.”
“I am going to continue working on myself. Changing behavior is a long and arduous process, but I’m not giving up, and I hope to change.”
When Bloomberg asked for a comment, he stated that he was “sad, a bit disappointed, and resigned.” He was supposed to have a big role for the next Witcher game.
