Sirus Review Roundup (May 21 – May 27)

It’s an interesting week for the team, we were able to get our hands on Injustice 2, Seasons After Fall, and we have also finally got our Prey review out! Our outlet has started doing video-reviews of selected games — the ones that the community actually recognize, and some games we think are worth it to spend our time in editing and doing voice-overs.

Here are the games we were able to review this week:

Seasons After Fall (PS4) – Provided by Focus Home Interactive
Swing Swing Submarine | Rachelle Tan | May 21, 2017
Score: 8.5 / 10

Seasons After Fall‘s story is almost  like a child’s favorite bedtime book with its adorable illustrations. Making the story not too complicated to understand, but the message it conveyed was deep.” — Read the full review

Demon’s Crystals (PS4) – Provided by BadLand Games
Byte4Games | Lexuzze Tablante | May 22, 2017
Score: 4.0 / 10

Demon’s Crystal is another flawed twin-stick shooter and is not even worth your time at all if you want to play this alone. The local multiplayer experience has shed some little hope in Demon’s Crystals, but the lack of online feature makes the game unconvincing unless if you like on-the-couch experience with friends.” — Read the full review

Prey (PS4) – Provided by Bethesda
Arkane Studios | Leif Bornales | May 23, 2017
Score: 8.0 / 10

“Despite the fact that there were technical difficulties, I still enjoyed the game thoroughly. And as much as I would like to talk more details about it, it is better that you explore this dangerous ship to discover them all. It was a fun game from beginning to end. It’s a game that tests your morality and compassion.” — Read the full review

LocoRoco Remastered (PS4) – Provided by Sony
SCE Japan Studios | Leif Bornales | May 23, 2017
Score: 6.5 / 10

“All in all, this game is definitely not made for children as they would easily get frustrated by the puzzles and traps in this game. It’s a puzzle platforming game at its core and if you just want to waste some time then this game is for you.” — Read the full review

Butcher (PS4) – Provided by Crunching Koalas
Transhuman Design | Lexuzze Tablante | May 23, 2017
Score: 7.5 / 10

Butcher might not be graphically hooking, and it may lack a bit of replay value, but it definitely put some fancy retro side-scroller shooter aside with its entertaining gameplay and gore.” — Read the full review

Injustice 2 – Provided by Warner Bros. Interactive
NetherRealm | David Rix | May 25, 2017
Score: 9.5 / 10

“Overall, Injustice 2 is a masterpiece of the fighting game genre. It features one of the best super hero stories of all time, defying expectations of both the genre and the medium.” — Read the full review
