Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Trailer Revealed

The changes are quite remarkable.

Rockstar has released the first official trailer for upcoming video game remaster collection Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.

This new video showcases important scenes from all three games of the trilogy and makes a comparison of what has changed from the original to the remastered versions. The changes are quite vast as it has made the games look quite modern compared to its original look. Some think that it looks cartoonish, but the animation and visuals are quite top-notch.

Aside from the great visual upgrades, the trilogy will have modern controls inspired from its latest title, Grand Theft Auto V. It will also have other additions as well that the originals did not have at that time. In a press release, it revealed the other improvements like better targeting, lock-on aiming, updated Weapon and Radio Station Wheels, updated Mini-Maps with enhanced navigation which allows players to set waypoints to destinations, updated Achievements, Trophies, and many more.

On the Nintendo Switch side, it will feature Gyro aiming and touch screen camera controls and menu selections. The PC version will have support for Nvidia DLSS and additional new Accomplishments via the Rockstar Games Social Club.

All three titles will have a completely rebuilt lighting system, which means improved shadows, weather, and reflections. It will have upgraded character and vehicle models, and new higher resolution textures across buildings, weapons, roads, interiors and more. There are also additional environmental upgrades like new foliage, smoother surfaces, and increased draw distances.
