The game was released in 2012, with a Director’s Cut published in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It was nominated for Best Debut Game at the 2013 British Academy Video Game Awards.

Players take control of Randall Wayne, a former park ranger who sets out on a journey to find his family amid a zombie apocalypse. The game features many environmental puzzles and hazards, and the zombies are a constant threat to the character’s survival. While attempting to survive, players must find weapons and equipment that increase their chances of finding Randall’s family.

Into the Breach

Into the Breach is a turn-based strategy game, developed and published by Subset Games, and released in 2018 for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Nintendo Switch. It is the second title from this independent studio, following FTL: Faster Than Light. The game’s story was written by Chris Avellone, best known for his work on the Fallout series. Into the Breach won the Best Strategy Game award at The Game Awards 2018.

Set in the far future, when humanity is facing invasion by a race of giant bugs called the Vek, players must fight these monsters using mechs in a turn-based combat system that takes place on an 8×8 grid. The game features retro graphics that should run on most non-gaming computers.
