Phasmophobia How to Find and Use Voodoo Doll

The Phasmophobia Voodoo Doll, or specifically the Tortured Voodoo Doll, is a Cursed Possession in Phasmophobia. There is no clear method to using the Voodoo Doll as it does something random each time you interact with it. Like all Cursed Possessions, the Voodoo is still pretty dangerous and you should take care to handle the risk that come with using it.

The Voodoo Doll was part of the 0.5.0 “Cursed Possession” Phasmophobia update. It is one of the six Cursed Possessions present in the game.

This guide will teach you where to find all the Voodoo Doll spawn locations in Phasmophobia and how to use it.

All Voodoo Doll Spawn Locations in Phasmophobia

You have a one in six chances of a Tortured Voodoo Doll spawning in a Phasmophobia map. There can only be one Cursed Possession in every contract and it’s random each time. You won’t get a guaranteed spawn of a Voodoo Doll in every game. Still you should look around these areas in the map to see if you have a Voodoo Doll for the contract.

Asylum

The Voodoo Doll spawns in the lobby room once you exit the van and enter the building, go right and you should see the Tortured Voodoo Doll just outside the Nurse’s Office.

Bleasdale Farmhouse

The Voodoo Doll spawns in the second floor. It’s right outside the side-bathroom adjacent to the boy’s bedroom. Head upstairs and go left once you’ve hit the first bathroom, go left again until you hit the end of the hallway. Look left, the Voodoo Doll should spawn there.

Brownstone Highschool

The Voodoo Doll spawns in the first floor. Go inside the front entrance and look between the doors that lead to the basketball court. The Voodoo Doll spawns in that location.

Edgefield Street House

The Voodoo Doll spawns in the second floor. It’s inside a blue bedroom at the end of a hallway that has two closets you can usually hide in.

Grafton Farmhouse

The Voodoo Doll spawns in the second floor. Go upstairs and enter the Nursery Room. You can find that room to your left once you’ve hit the top of the stairs.

Maple Lodge Campsite

The Voodoo Doll is lying next to a sitting log in the bonfire. Once you’ve entered the gates, head to your left until you reach a bonfire. This bonfire can be list with a lighter to help you see the area better. The Voodoo Doll should be right in front of the Food Tent.

Prison

The Voodoo Doll spawns in the entrance hallway. Go past the metal detectors and stop before you hit the reception. Look to the right side, the Voodoo Doll can be found on one of the chairs.

Ridgeview Road House

The Voodoo Doll spawns in the first floor. It’s right in front of the basement door.

Tanglewood Street House

The Voodoo Doll spawns in the garage. Once you’ve entered the door to the garage, take a left turn and keep going straight. The Voodoo Doll is left of the lockers.

Willow Street House

The Voodoo Doll is in the Boy’s Bedroom. Go to the two rooms at the end of the hallway past the basement door. Go inside the room to the right and look at the bed to see the Voodoo Doll.

How to Use the Voodoo Doll in Phasmophobia

The Voodoo Doll can be used to force a ghost interaction just by interacting with it. Interacting with it will cause one of the pins to penetrate the doll causing the ghost to react in a certain way that’s unpredictable. The pins will move on random and if you the pin on the heart gets penetrated a Cursed Hunt will begin regardless of Sanity.

The Voodoo Doll will help you cross out an objective is one of the objectives you have in your contract is to witness a ghost interaction. The Voodoo Doll has 10 pins, and each pin will cost you 5% of your Sanity respectively. However your Sanity will drain by 10% if you pierce the heart which will cause a Cursed Hunt.

If you have less than 5% Sanity and use the Voodoo Doll, then all the pins will be pushed down rendering it useless and a Cursed Hunt will begin. Cursed Hunts are different from regular ghost hunts, as they last longer and cannot be prevented by crucifixes. You can still use smudge sticks to buy you a bit of time.

The best way to use a Voodoo Doll is after you’re sure you’ve found the Ghost Room already. This will ensure you get the best interactions with the Voodoo Doll as the ghost is close by. This is risky however since if you penetrate the heart, you’re immediately starting a Cursed Hunt with the ghost close by. You have a 10% chance to pierce the heart.

Take a picture of the Voodoo Doll as you find it. Also take photos after you’ve interacted with the Voodoo Doll as they’ll count as ghost interactions which reward you with money.
