Cyberpunk 2077 Has Guns That Are Disposable and Available in Vending Machines

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated video games coming soon this year and everybody is looking for details that could make them more excited. In particular, the guns in this game are particularly unique and powerful with impressive firepower. What if I told you there are actually a variety of guns in this game from the stupidest features to the most overpowered ones?

According to the Official PlayStation Magazine (October 2020 Issue), the gun culture in this game is crazy. Concept Art Co-Ordinator for Cyberpunk 2077’s guns and mechanical devices Ben Andrews tells us more about this over-the-top weapon culture.

Andrews explains that due to the violence in the game has been taken to the extremes, everyone has to own a gun. “The idea that you may be mugged on your way home from work is extremely common, or your apartment might be broken into at the weekend,” he continued. “So everybody’s carrying a gun.”

This, in turn, has made the gun culture quite weird. Imagine a world where firearms are now part of the consumer culture where it is just the same as buying convenience store sandwiches or lunch boxes. Weapons are super affordable and can be disposed after one-time use.

Andrews revealed the gun called Budget Arms Slaughtomatic. According to him, they think of it as a really cool gun, but it is also a crappy gun in terms of specifics. It is bright pink as default, but it comes in other colors as well.

Families, I repeat, family members can purchase this cheap gun from 24/7 convenience stores or vending machines. The best/worst part of it all? It is disposable. It cannot be reloaded. After emptying the cartridge on an intruder invading your home, you can throw it away like trash. It is also cheap. “—because it costs – I don’t know what the in-game cost is currently – but you know, the idea that you can pick up a gun for like five euro,” Andrews explains. Want to have another gun? Then buy a new one again at the convenience store.

Andrews even revealed that in Cyberpunk 2077, there is an advertisement in stores that shows a family posing with a gun. “—you’ve got this happy family, and they’re all posing with a gun, even the little kids and the pregnant mom.”

So next time you run out of weapons to use during battles and need a cheap gun in case of emergencies, just check the game’s convenience stores or vending machines.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on Nov. 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions will be available once the next-gen consoles will be released this coming holiday season.
