Game company Square Enix has released a brand-new gameplay video of upcoming video game remaster NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…
The newest footage gives fans more combat gameplay that this predecessor of Automata offers. Square Enix partnered with the PlayStation team in order to release this new episode of PlayStation Underground that features Grimoire Weiss and Kaine, a fierce fighter.
Players will be following the journey of the hero where he is on a quest to cure his sister’s deadly disease. The game offers multiple playthroughs, just like its successor NieR: Automata. He will encounter the two unlikely characters mentioned above, who will help him in his quest.
This remastered version is an enhanced version of NieR Replicant, which is the 2010 version that was released in Japan. It offers revamped combat, enhanced visuals, newly recorded voice-overs that features mostly of the cast, a re-arranged and re-recorded soundtrack, and many more.
As shown in the gameplay footage, the gameplay has been revamped to the next level. It will feel snappy, refined, and fluid compared to the original (for the fans who played it). Combos will mix in light and heavy attacks with a mix of active dodge, counters, and parries.
Compared to NieR: Automata, Replicant has magic, which is where Grimoire Weiss is an expert on. He will gradually unlock Sealed Verses as players progress in the game. He can help with ranged attacks, which can even the odds in big battles.
NieR: Replicant will launch on April 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
