Best Free PS Plus Games in 2021 So Far

For those who subscribe to PlayStation Plus will be well aware that you get 2-3 games free each month to keep permanently. There is no requirement to download them immediately, only to add them to your library whilst they are on offer.

We’re a week away until Sony add May’s games but we’re going to take a look at the best games that have been given away to members so far this year:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Released in 2018, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the latest in the popular series, following on from 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider, which was available to PS Plus members for free last year.

To start 2021 this game was available to download for free. Very popular among games, particularly for the challenge tombs and puzzles, your aim is control Lara Croft and escape the city of Cozumel following a Tsunami caused by taking the Dagger of Chalk Chel.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider allows you to hunt wild animals, craft materials and solve puzzles, similar to previous instalments of the game. If you’re a fun of puzzle games, then you may want to take advantage of the PA Lottery Bonus Code ahead of this weekend’s jackpot prize.

One thing lacking about this game is that it isn’t overwhelmingly different from previous instalments.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War

A third-person game that has proven surprisingly popular given it was given away to PS Plus members little more than a year after its release. Zombie Army 4 was the sequel to the 2015 compilation game Zombie Army Trilogy with a number of new additions.

Set in 1946, one year after Hitler was defeated and banished to hell, the innumerable Nazi dead are now overwhelming the Allies. This time without a leader. Although the living dead are weak and easy to destroy their numbers make it a challenge.

The game starts off in Milan, Italy, where you battle against invading hordes and Hitler. Killing Hitler is not the end of the game though as your next aim is to chase after his remaining Zombies to end the Dead War.

Zombie Army 4 will take a few days to complete the story but you don’t need to be an expert gamer to get through it.

Days Gone

Set in a post-apocalyptic USA, Days Gone is an action-adventure survival horror game two years after a global pandemic. Controlling war veteran Deacon St. John your mission is to find your wife Sarah.

Explore an open world environment, using firearms and weapons against Freakers. The dynamic weather system and day-night cycle make Freakers weak and slow by day but fast and aggressive by night. The open world aspect of the game has received much praise over the past 12 months since the game was originally released. Though the story is somewhat lacking, but nothing to put you off a free game. And it can keep you entertained for days as it can take a good 80 hours to complete.
