Dying Light 2 Stay Human Gets Real-Time Ray Tracing and DLSS

Techland partners up with Nvidia to bring these new technologies to the game.

Game studio Techland has recently announced its partnership with Nvidia to integrate Nvidia Technology for upcoming video game Dying Light 2 Stay Human adding real-time ray tracing and DLSS.

With the integration of Nvidia technology, upcoming video game Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be able to have real-time ray tracing and DLSS features. Visuals will be improved to a higher level than ever before thanks to Nvidia.

In Dying Light, Nvidia cooperated with Techland to bring life to the revolutionary open world with new special effects like enhanced Ambient Occlusion, Depth of Field, and Shadows. With the upcoming sequel, Nvidia will bring advanced real-time ray tracing in the C-Engine, which is now Techland’s proprietary game engine. Expect for more cool effects and better gaming immersion compared to the original.

Dying Light 2 will be the first game from the game studio that will support the awesome ray-tracing technology. It will have effects that includes physically correct shadows, which means proper angular width of the sun in the sky, highly improved ambient occlusion, and DLSS rendering.

Rendering Director of Techland Tomasz Szalkowski stated that with their partnership with Nvidia, it has now helped them create an immersive, visceral experience for players of upcoming Dying Light 2. With ray tracing, he said, players can now experience enhanced realism that will be applied into their world while the Nvidia DLSS will give the game a performance boost without sacrificing image quality.
