Far Cry 6 Allows Players to Explore Yara Without Entering Combat

Holstering weapons actually has two purposes now.

Ubisoft Creative Director Navid Khavari recently shared on Play UK Magazine’s latest issue (Issue 5 October 2021) the various ways to explore the Far Cry 6‘s fictional country of Yara in the heart of the Caribbean.

Khavari spilled the beans on one of the reasons why players can now holster their weapons and explore towns without getting caught by the guards. Yara is a massive open world, a whole country at that, and to be able to explore every part of it without getting nabbed by the soldiers of Dictator Anton Castillo, is through that ability.

The world of Far Cry 6 is filled with vibrant music, artistry, and voices that reflect Dani Roja’s experience growing up there. This makes it worthwhile to holster the guns and just explore the massive open world, blending in with the crowd. Khavari then confirmed that players can actually just drive in their vehicles, listen to the radio, and explore everywhere without entering into combat.

Hiding weapons also has another purpose and it is to get past checkpoints and to surprise enemies in the guise of civilians. It gives them an advantage against the all-powerful dictator.

Far Cry 6 launches on October 7, 2021 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PS5, and PC.
