On September 20, 2021, Atlus will be celebrating 25 years of the Persona franchise and they have announced before that there will be new projects relating to Persona that are already in the works. Because of this announcement, fans are wondering what possible projects that Atlus is working on might be announced during the event. We, of Sirus Gaming, have made a list of possible projects that might be announced on the 25 years of Persona Anniversary event.
Persona 6
There have been multiple rumors on Twitter and forums that a new Persona game will be announced. One of the hints involve the theme color presented by Atlus on promotional material for all the Persona series. The theme of Persona 6 is still unknown but rumors speculate that based on the promos that the next Persona game’s color theme is white. The color white has many meanings to it. Because of this, the theme of the game could be Magical Girls, VR tubers or even Doctors. We aren’t quite sure yet but all of it might come down to when the projects are announced during the 25th anniversary event.
Persona Arena Remastered
Persona 4 Arena first came to consoles in 2012 and followed with its successor, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax in 2013. In 2018, Atlus released a collaboration game with Arc System Works to release Blazblue Cross Tag Battle and some of the playable characters in the game are from Persona 4 Arena. Considering the expectations of the fandom itself, there is a high chance that a remastered version of Persona Arena might come out for Playstation 4 and PC as fans are excited to play them once more.
New Persona Arena
Since Persona 5 has had success with spin-off titles such as P5 Royal and Strikers, there is a high probability that a new Persona Arena will be announced and that Persona 5 characters and other Persona characters from previous games will either be returning or making their debut in the game. Fans have been speculating that Arc System Works and Atlus are doing this collab again to see their favorite characters in the big screen once more.
Persona 3 Remake
Persona 3, personally speaking, maybe one of the best Persona game in the whole franchise as the story content of the game was deep and great. Because of its unique style of gameplay and its fascinating story, lots of anime adaptations, including manga, were made since the game’s release in 2006. With the new engines used by Atlus and high quality gaming provided by today’s consoles, a possible remake of Persona 3 could be in the works with some of its classic BGM as well as songs from Dancing Moon Night added to the game.
Persona 1-3 Remastered
Last year, Persona 4 Golden was released for the PC and had topped sales charts worldwide. Because on this, I speculate that the first 3 Persona games might get a Remastered version for the PC, PS4, Xbox, and Switch soon. Doing so will contribute well to the celebration of 25 years of the Persona franchise and will give gamers who are new to the series a chance to know more about the earlier games.
With all these possible speculations, Persona fans are now excited for the fact that the announcements will be made on the Anniversary stream and more. For more news about the Persona Anniversary event, tune in to Sirus Gaming to hear of the latest trends and more.
