5 Important Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Tips

The launch of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is merely hours away for some people around the world, while others have already started playing it, today is definitely an exciting day for early PS5 adopters. This latest installment of Insomniac Games proves to be a system seller, and it deserved the praises it got from media outlets. If you want to check what we think of the Rift Apart, read it here.

If this is going to be your first time playing Rift Apart, here are a few important tips you need to know before you start your adventure:

1 | Pickup Bolts Every Time You Get The Chance

Bolts are the game’s currency, and you get to buy outrageous weapons from Ms. Zurkon. While it may sound tedious when you see crates lying around you better take that the chance to break them. It’s never bad to gather a lot of Bolts so you can unlock weapons quicker, expanding your arsenal of weapons because you will need them.

2 | Constantly Switch Weapons During Combat

    Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

The game immediately pauses when you open the weapon wheel by pressing and holding the Triangle button. You can easily swap weapons from your Blast Pistol to the Warmonger. Every time when you run out of ammo, don’t go about using your Wrench or Hammer, it’s better to check if you still have other weapons to use. Ranged combat is more effective than melee attacks.

3 | If You See Rariteriums On Your Map, Don’t Ignore Them

It’s easy for us to blaze through the entire story without thinking about how difficult enemies become when you progress deeper into the game. Weapon upgrades are your best friend. Utilize and open your map when you explore areas as Rariterium icons tend to appear when you’re close to it. When you see them, don’t ignore them. Upgrading your weapons is essential to your survival rate.

4 | Always Search for Pocket Dimensions

    Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart

Pocket Dimensions are those secret portals that hold armor pods. These armors, even if they’re not equipped, will give you permanent upgrade perks like taking less damage from Nefarious bots and increased melee damage. So if you see a Pocket Dimension, go through it, the obstacles are easy to overcome.

5 | Unlock the Ultimate Weapon: RYNO 8

The deadliest weapon in the Ratchet & Clank universe. You can’t buy the RYNO weapon with Bolts, you will have to do more work by searching for Spybots that hold the blueprints to unlock it. There are 10 Spybots scattered across planets, so don’t skip them if you’re given the chance to find them. You will never regret it, I assure you.

This concludes our Rift Apart important tips.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is now available exclusively on PS5.
