Focus Entertainment and Tindalos Interactive have released a new Aliens: Dark Descent gameplay overview trailer today, showcasing further information like narrative, protagonists, and more.

The new Aliens: Dark Descent gameplay overview trailer has been released today and it offers fans a deeper dive into the game. The video’s in-depth footage and commentary showcase the narrative, protagonists, and gameplay mechanics of the upcoming strategic, real-time squad-based tactical action game set in the iconic Alien universe.

    About the game:

Aliens: Dark Descent features a fully-fledged tactical campaign. Explore the it further to progress with the complex story and attempt to solve the mysteries of Planet Lethe. Players will manage their squad as a single unit thanks to the innovative and intuitive controls of both keyboard/mouse and controller. The Square Behavior System allows Marines to react intelligently to orders which dispatches them automatically on the field. Slow down time at any moment if the Xenomorph threat gets too overwhelming in order to focus more on tactical decisions.

Marines are well-equipped to alter their environment and deal with hostiles like flamethrowers, suppressive fire, and sentry guns. All of these are effective in handling the Xenomorph threat.

Each run is unique as the Xenomorphs adapt to player behavior and action. Each choice remains unaltered as players explore extensive, open, and persistent levels. Managing the squad’s health and stress levels is equally as important as clearing objectives. When a Marine dies, they are permanently gone for good.

After completing each mission, players will return to the ship called the Otago. It is a hub to heal and recruit more Marines for the cause. It is also the place for research and allows players to develop new tech that improves gear. There are five Marine classes available that can be assigned different roles to create a stronger squad to explore further down and battle against more Xenomorph aliens.

Aliens: Dark Descent launches on June 20, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
