Jedi Power Battles Returns! Classic Star Wars Game Releasing on Modern Platforms

Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games have announced that Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, a classic action game from 2000, is getting a modern makeover and will be released on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on January 23, 2025.

This updated version promises enhanced gameplay, improved models and environments, and new features for modern platforms. Players can wield their lightsabers as iconic Jedi like Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Qui-Gon Jinn, battling through familiar locations such as Theed Palace.

Here’s what you can expect in this re-release of Jedi Power Battles:

  • Expanded Roster: All secret characters from the original game, including Darth Maul and Queen Amidala, will be available from the start. Plus, 13 new playable characters like the Tusken Raider and Weequay are waiting to be unlocked!
  • Couch Co-op: Team up with a friend for two-player couch co-op throughout the entire campaign and bonus mini-games.
  • Modernized Gameplay: Choose between classic or modern controls, customize lightsaber colors, and even activate classic cheat codes like Big Head Mode.
  • New Modes: Experience the Versus and Training modes introduced in later releases of the original game.
