Get ready to see Ancient Egypt from a whole new perspective. Solo developer and PhD Egyptologist Dr. Maria M. Kloska has revealed Ta-Miu, an action-adventure game where players take on the role of a cat chosen by the gods to save the ancient world.
Developed under the studio name Dreamincorn, Ta-Miu is an indie title that fuses authentic worldbuilding with interactive storytelling. Players will control Ta-Miu, a cat tasked by the goddess Bastet with a vital mission. She won’t be alone on her journey, however; she is accompanied by her loyal companion, a mummy named Sahi.
Together, the unique duo will explore ancient temples, tombs, and desert ruins. The gameplay focuses on solving environmental puzzles, uncovering secrets, and engaging in action-adventure mechanics as they work to save Egypt from a mysterious threat of destruction. The developer’s deep academic background in Egyptology aims to bring a rich layer of authenticity to the game’s world and myths.
A demo for Ta-Miu is scheduled to debut soon as part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest: Animal Fest 2025. The full game is currently announced for PC and can be wishlisted on Steam.
