CD Projekt RED has yet again confirmed in a recent investor call that Cyberpunk 2077 is not being planned for Xbox Game Pass or PS Now, at least not anytime soon.
A recent investor call via VGC has revealed this fact after CDPR was asked whether or not gamers are going to see Cyberpunk 2077 coming to certain subscription services like the Xbox Game Pass or the PS Now.
President Adam Kiciński said they considered any business opportunity, but the subscription model is only good at a certain moment of the lifecycle of the product. He thinks it is still too early for Cyberpunk 2077 to join any subscription service.
The Witcher 3 has joined for some time in the major subscription services right now, but they also had to make sure that the benefit and cost are justified each time. They have to compare it to its current sales and since Witcher 3 had a strong start, it was an easy decision to make. Cyberpunk 2077 though, it is still too early for it.
No word yet if The Witcher 3 will be coming back to Xbox Game Pass or PS Now in the near future after getting its next-gen upgrade, but for Cyberpunk 2077, it will be far off into the future. At least it has been confirmed that it could be coming to the subscription services.
