AMD and the French Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA) have announced a collaboration to drive innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) computing. The two organizations have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to jointly develop advanced technologies, components, and system architectures aimed at shaping the future of AI.
This partnership will focus on creating energy-efficient systems capable of handling the most demanding AI workloads across various fields, from energy to medicine. By combining AMD’s cutting-edge technology with CEA’s research expertise, the collaboration seeks to push the boundaries of AI computing infrastructure for next-generation applications.
Symposium on the Future of AI Compute in 2025
Looking ahead, AMD and CEA are planning to host a symposium in 2025 focused on the future of AI computing. This event will bring together key European stakeholders, global technology providers, startups, supercomputing centers, universities, and policymakers. The goal is to accelerate collaboration and discussion around the latest and emerging AI computing technologies.
