New Mod Allows Players to Disable Chromatic Aberration in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

Chromatic Aberration toggle option now being looked at by Ubisoft; NexusMods user uploaded a temporary solution to turn the feature off.

AC Mirage How long to beat

Just days after players of Assassin’s Creed Mirage were enraged that a certain feature didn’t have a toggle option, a user just released a mod to disable this visual feature!

Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s chromatic aberration became a huge problem for players. The image quality isn’t sharper, even if the purpose of chromatic aberration is to give that sense of realism by adding an effect like you’re looking through a lens. However, that didn’t turn out well for those playing Assassin’s Creed Mirage on PC. This visual effect can make some people nauseous, even straining their eyes.

The biggest issue is that there is no way to turn off Chromatic Aberration in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which, in most cases, should at least have that option in the graphics settings. A good lad by the username kamzik123 uploaded a mod on NexusMods that gives players the option to turn Chromatic Aberration off completely. Thanks, kamzik123!

At the moment, Ubisoft seemingly acknowledged the request on the game’s Discord channel, according to a Reddit user. We don’t have any official notes for any upcoming patch or update for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but rest assured that the development team over at Ubisoft Bordeaux is definitely looking at the problem.

According to Leif in his review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage on PS5, the game “truly delivered an assassin simulator game that we all loved from the beginning.” You can read Leif’s AC Mirage review.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is now available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
