Ubisoft is possibly going to launch a new update for Assassin’s Creed Origins specifically for the next-gen consoles.

Assassin’s Creed Origins Next Gen Update Happening Soon

No official announcement yet from Ubisoft, but known PlayStation Store crawler Twitter account PlayStation Game Size has recently picked up new information about this new update. It revealed that there is a new update for the game when it is played on the PS5 and this could possibly be coming to its counterpart, Xbox Series X/S.

The account even revealed patch notes for the update. The first line said “Added a Franchise Menu”, which nobody knows what it exactly does yet, but it could be for recommending other Assassin’s Creed games. The second line is quite interesting, which says, “Enabled higher framerate when running on PlayStation 5 console.” This is going to be update 1.60 for Assassin’s Creed Origins and expected to launch next week, possibly May 24-26, 2022.

Next Gen Update to Possibly Unlock Faster FPS Speeds

If the patch notes is true, then the next update could possibly unlock a new framerate speed for AC Origins, which should be 60 FPS. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey got a similar update previously, which gave it a 60 FPS option. This means, gameplay will definitely be interesting and exploration will be fun in Ancient Egypt.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also backwards compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
