Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Title Update Requires Players to Redownload Whole Game

For the future content and support of the game, redownload it again.

Ubisoft has recently announced that a new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title update will require players to redownload the base game.

According to a new post on the official forums, Ubisoft will be releasing Title Update 1.4.1 next week and has shared details of what it entails. They explained the reason for the need to redownload the game once this new title update is launched.

“In order to continue supporting Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with future content and game updates, Title Update 1.4.1 will require players to re-download the entire game as part of a data restructuring,” the community manager wrote.

No specific details like the date and the patch content were shared, but the data restructuring part was important. This is to brace the players to redownload everything because this would help the devs smoothly deliver future content for the game.

Another advantage players can get from Title Update 1.4.1 is reducing the overall game size on all platforms. Also, with the data restructuring, it will improve the performance of the game with faster loading screen times, improved world data streaming, and overall runtime performance.

Do note that only the base game will be redownloaded while the expansions will not be affected.
