SMGs have always been the mainstay in Warzone 2, opting against pistols since they have more ammo and can inflict more damage to plates. But there is one that has stayed at the top of the meta pool for quite some time now: the Lachmann Sub SMG. Known as the MP5 in real life, this SMG offers mobility and fast TTK in close range, mowing down enemies as a run-and-gun weapon or as an AR or sniper support. We will be showing you the best attachments and tunings for the Lachmann Sub to use in Warzone 2.

This setup was built by balancing out the damage profile and ADS time for the Lachmann Sub. By having the VLK LZR 7mW, Lachmann TCG-10 Grip set out to boost the ADS, and the XTEN RR-40 and 9mm Overpressured Ammo, you can rip down plates quickly with this one at close range or by having this as a primary to provide run-n-gun support for your teammates.
Best Lachmann Sub Warzone 2 Perks and Equipment
Perks:
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Tracker / Scavenger
- Perk 3: Fast Hands
- Ultimate Perk: Ghost
The perks are set up with the Lachmann Sub as a Primary SMG run-n-gun profile in mind. With Double Time and Tracker, you can quickly track down and dispatch multiple enemies at close range, especially when pushing in hardened positions indoors. Or you can swap it out with the Scavenger perk, as it really goes well with the Double Time perk by re-kitting yourself with ammo and grenades while gunning down enemies. All of that with the Fast Hands perk does its job as well by reloading quickly, taking less time to worry about the next gunfight. And with the Ghost as the Ultimate Perk, you can get away with all these without anyone noticing you under the radar.
Equipment:
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
- Lethal: Claymore / Drill Charge / Thermite
Smoke Grenades as Tacticals is a must, as it both provides cover in moving positions and rotations or as concealment when pushing enemy positions. This is best coupled with the Tracker perk, as you can easily follow the footsteps left behind or track enemies under the cover of smoke. With Lethals, you can swap out with the choices of Claymore, Drill Charges, or Thermite. Claymores and Thermite Grenades can work both ways, either to cover your tracks by blocking entrances and exits with them or you can hold and defend your positions from being pushed, especially during the Final Circles late game with the Claymores.
