A new rumor claims that the upcoming video game Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be getting a paid Greatest Hits Map Pack.
This new rumor comes from a self-proclaimed Call of Duty player/leaker @TheGhostOfHope. They revealed that this possible upcoming paid map pack will be released to celebrate 20 years of Call of Duty, which is this year. The contents are quite interesting though.
According to the leaker, the map pack will include the classic Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps. It will also include classic maps made by Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer. This will be a game that will contain all maps from popular Call of Duty titles through the years. They also claimed that this is meant to be released for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Year 2.
Fans of the Call of Duty series are quite split with this new rumor. Some say this is a good way to celebrate the big anniversary of the franchise while others say it could split the player base. They even fear that it could become like CSGO.
No official word from Infinity Ward to confirm nor deny these claims.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 launches on October 28, 2022. It will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
