The Kastov 762 in Warzone 2 is a weapon that requires mastery to reap its rewards. The gun really packs a punch especially at long range, but its recoil pattern needs a bit of skill. Add to that the 7.62 High Velocity rounds; this one really packs that punch like the RPK. The optics chosen for this build are the Aim OP-V4, for its simple dot optic and quick target acquisition.

This Kastov 762 Sniper Support build was built with mobility in mind, as you may need Aim Walking Speed for strafing and ADS Speed for quick target acquisitions. You can also choose between the Aim OP-V4 optic or the Slimline Pro, as either one can provide you with a clear sight picture. This might not be as fast and mobile as other AR builds, but it can definitely rip down enemies at close range.
Warzone 2: Best Kastov 762 Perks and Attachments
- Perk 1: Overkill
- Perk 2: Double Time / Scavenger
- Perk 3: Fast Hands
- Ultimate Perk: Ghost
While the builds for the Kastov are less mobile, you’ll need something that also packs a punch at close range, like an SMG of your choice. This is where the Overkill perk comes in. To balance the heavy AR that is the Kastov, you’ll need to rotate positions and reload faster with the Double Time and Fast Hands perks, so you won’t be worrying about the next gunfight. Or by swapping out either one with the Scavenger perk, so you can restock and rearm on the go from dead enemies. The Ghost perk comes in handy, especially in maps like Al Mazrah and Vondel, where you’d never know where the enemy is positioned, so you’ll need that extra stealth option under the radar.
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
- Lethal: Drill Charge / Thermite
These grenades can turn the tide of any engagement if used correctly. Smoke grenades can provide concealment, whether it be in rotating positions under gunfire or pushing through enemy positions. Lethals of choice can either be drill charges or thermite grenades. Both can be useful defensively or offensively, as drill charges can be used to flush out enemies that are dug inside buildings or hiding behind cover, and the thermite can do the same or be used to block routes the enemies are using to stop them from tracking you.
