Cyberpunk 2077 Developer Talks About Criticism They Got from the Gaming Community

CD Projekt RED Lead Quest Designer Pawel Sasko talked about the criticism they got from angry fans and why controversial video game Cyberpunk 2077 launched the way it did.

Sasko was recently playing the game live on his Twitch channel and talked about how it played, what issues he noticed, and more. He wanted everyone to know how he felt playing it after it launched months after day one.

By the end of his livestream, he talked about the reason why the game launched the way it did, riddled with bugs and whatnot. He shared that they were ambitious about this game and he thinks everyone else just does not get it on their point of view as developers.

“Our goals have been super ambitious,” Sasko said. “I don’t really feel that players and journalists fully, completely understand how difficult it was to make this game.”

Sasko acknowledged that the gaming community had every right to criticize them, but they should also hear their side as well. He did assure that they are trying their very best to make it right this time with more updates and free content for everyone.

The problem now is, can they really do it quickly enough? Some fans are quite impatient when it comes to getting hyped about a game and demanding a lot from their favorite game studios. Others got disappointed, but they understood that it was difficult for the developers, even for CD Projekt RED with their great reputation for delivering The Witcher 3, to make Cyberpunk 2077 the perfect game.

Are still disappointed with how CD Projekt RED released Cyberpunk 2077 with all of their big promises? Or have you moved past that and just waiting for them to make things right? Give us your opinions below!

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are launching later this year. A few days ago, a leak revealed the upcoming new content for the big update and more.

    Thanks MP1st!
