Cyberpunk 2077 DLC and Expansion Announcements Gets Delayed

According to the recent CD Projekt RED third-quarter earnings call last November 25, President and Joint-CEO Adam Kichinski revealed that the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 downloadable content and expansion announcements will be delayed.

CDPR’s first plan was to announce it before release, revealed Kicinski during the call. There were some discussions made and after that they decided they would delay that in order to “provide gamers with the game and then start talking about future projects.”

Multiplayer mode does not have a release date yet, but Kicinksi did say that he expects there will be more information in Q1 2021. He clarified that the multiplayer mode is not an addition to the main game, but it is its own thing. He describes it as a AAA project.

Kicinski, meanwhile, stated that he is happy with the results of the gameplay on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X recently. He also said that he was satisfied with the game’s performance on the standard versions. He revealed that it is a bit lower than the pros, but it is surprisingly good.

In other related news, it was revealed that Keanu Reeves has already played the game and apparently, he is a fan. Kicinski stated:

He played the game. But as far as I know haven’t finished yet. So – but definitely, he played the game and he loves it.

Reeves plays the role of Johnny Silverhand and even did the acting as well.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming next year.
