Game studio CD Projekt RED will now be facing one class action lawsuit instead of the four versions over controversial video game Cyberpunk 2077.
According to a post by the game studio, it has been informed by the court that the four class action lawsuits that were filed against them have been consolidated or combined. These were filed to the court last December 2020 and January 2021 over allegedly misleading the investors of what has happened with the controversial game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. As everyone knows, the launch was a total disaster and the gaming community was in uproar. It made sense that those involved in its investment had to file a lawsuit.
The ones involved are groups of investors who said that the game’s description and subsequent drop in the CDP stock price has made them lose a lot of money. The court has now appointed a lead plaintiff that will speak for all four.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
