CD Projekt RED has now confirmed what they intend for the future major content additions for Cyberpunk 2077.
CDPR has recently put up the teaser video of the upcoming expansion Phantom Liberty, which has finally given life to the fans of Cyberpunk 2077 for a long time. It is planned for release next year and will include the return of Keanu Reeves voicing and mocapping popular character Johnny Silverhand. Some have commented praise for the announcement, but there is one that might have revealed CDPR’s plans for the game.
One of the commenters said that they are quite intrigued by the expansion and are hoping for more to come out since it has a lot of potential. CDPR then shared a reply to that comment saying “Glad to hear we sparked your interest! As for the future, Phantom Liberty is the only planned expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.”
Quite grim. Compared to its sister games like The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077’s expansion is only one. The Witcher 3 had two major expansions carrying heavy content for the game. The fans are quite disappointed by this update.
There is no need to fret though, it could mean there will be more updates in the future bringing new content for the game. It might not be a big expansion, but at least there will be new content to enjoy in every update. Also, it will be free.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty launches next year. The base game is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
