In a new statement, CD Projekt RED has officially denied the speculations of Cyberpunk 2077 coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Just recently, there were rumors about the controversial video game Cyberpunk 2077 being added to the Xbox Game Pass library in the near future. No word on when it will be added, but they share some evidence that it was coming to the library. In a recent video shared by Microsoft, there was one scene that somehow gave a hint that it was coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Now, a response came from CDPR’s Global PR Director Radek Grabowski on his official Twitter account in response to a recent post by VGC. It was clear that they were denying the allegation.
“I just thought I’ll chime in to say that there are no Game Pass plans for Cyberpunk 2077,” Grabowski stated.
So, it has been confirmed that it will not be on Xbox Game Pass, yet. While there are no plans currently, Grabowski did not confirm they will not put the game on the gaming library later on. Maybe not in the near future, but it could be possible next year or in the next, next year. Depends on how Microsoft will sweet talk their way to CDPR’s heart.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5.
