Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios have officially revealed the Dead Island 2 system requirements which range from very light to heavy hardware needs.
Dead Island 2 System Requirements Vary a Lot
Since the game will launch in just a few more days, the developers have revealed the Dead Island 2 system requirements for PC ahead of launch. PC owners will have to prepare though as the requirements vary a lot from very light ones like a GPU of at least GeForce GTX 1060, to a very heavy hardware need of at least 10GB RAM to run on minimum specifications.
Check out the list below:
Minimum (1080p, 30 fps):
- CPU: AMD FX-9590 or Intel Core i7 7700HQ

Dead Island 2 Visual Software Tech Support
The developers also listed some clarifications on what kind of tech the game is going to support. It confirms it will support DirectX 12 only and not DirectX 11, so old PC owners, be aware of this. It will support AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and AMD FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening, which can be turned on in the graphics menu. RCAS will be enabled by default, but it is curious that they note that the game will not support performance-boosting software.
Streamer Friendly
The game includes a streamer mode that will block licensed music when needed, but for some reason, it will not block the music in the opening cinematic, so streamers be aware of not including the opening or muting that part if it shows up.
Dead Island 2 launches on April 21, 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
