Destiny 2 Devs Respond to Players Worried About Game’s Future

Bungie says don't worry about it.

Bungie’s community management team has recently responded to the players who are worried about Destiny 2’s future.

Destiny 2 Fans Concerned with Future

Fans of Destiny 2 have been really concerned that the game may get abandoned after the Final Shape DLC will be coming in 2024. These concerns have some truth to them though since the Destiny series will be concluding the Light and Dark saga for good, but Bungie is also planning for its upcoming new live-service Bungie game Marathon. Most of Bungie’s developers will be dedicated to the upcoming new live-service game, so fans are now biting their nails at what will happen to their favorite game.

Bungie’s Promise

In a Reddit post, the Bungie team revealed that they have no intention of abandoning the Destiny series. “… like most studios that support multi-IPs at the same time, we intend to do the same as them. You could argue about the support model we have now, which is fair criticism, but we’re working to be better.”

“Much like how D1 and D2 was in the first year, if we see that the market wants something more and/or something different, we will course-correct as needed.”

Future DLCs Should Surpass Witch Queen

Lightfall DLC did not meet the expectations of the fans as they were expecting it to be better than the best DLC, Witch Queen. It will be interesting how Bungie will make changes to the game and its upcoming DLCs until its final one.

Destiny 2 is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
