Diablo 4 Downtime and Server Maintenance

Diablo 4 stuck in queue? When will Diablo 4 servers go online again?

Diablo 4 Downtime and System Maintenance

Are Diablo 4 servers currently down right now? Are you one of the players experiencing long queue times in Diablo 4 or are you getting one of any of the following errors:

  • Unable to find a valid license for Diablo IV. (Code 315306)
  • There was an error. (Code 300202)
  • Queued for login ~1 minute left.
  • Diablo 4 error code 30008.

These Diablo 4 login issues are considered resolved for now, according to Blizzard CS in Twitter, “The DDOS attacks that we were monitoring have ended.”, as of 02:36PM PST Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Diablo 4 Login Issues Today

Diablo 4 servers will be performing live maintenance on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 09:00AM to 02:00PM PST and Tuesday, June 27, 2023 the same time. During these times, players may experience interruptions of service including disconnects, but the devs assure that they should be able to login immediately, unlike the previous days.

The Diablo 4 login issues that happened during the weekend on the other hand were caused by a DDoS attack, according to Blizzard: “We are currently experiencing a DDoS attack, which may result in high latency and disconnections for some players. We are actively working to mitigate this issue.” It started on 10:53 PM PST Saturday, June 24, 2023, and has affected Diablo 4 players on different platforms: PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Diablo 4 DDoS Attack

A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack is a malicious act where multiple compromised devices are used to flood a target system, network, or website with a massive volume of incoming traffic or requests. The objective of a DDoS attack is to overwhelm the target’s resources, such as bandwidth, processing power, or memory, causing a disruption or complete denial of service to legitimate users trying to access the targeted system.

Some players were also reportedly getting errors logging in to other Battle.net live service games like WoW, so this issue may not be centralized to Diablo 4 servers alone.

In order to check on the Diablo 4 server status, players will need to visit the official Twitter account of Blizzard CS. It has an updated feed of information about the game’s server maintenance and downtime status.

When Will Diablo 4 Servers be back online?

As of this writing, Diablo 4 servers are considered up and running. Next scheduled maintenance will happen on 09:00AM-02:00PM PST Monday, June 27, 2023.

If you are still unable to log in try to troubleshoot latency or disconnection problems:

  1. Restart your network devices.
  2. If you’re using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue.
  3. Update drivers and operating system: Keep your software up to date to resolve compatibility issues.
  4. Release and renew your IP and flush your DNS to resolve any network conflicts.
  5. Close unnecessary applications: Shut down other programs to resolve software conflicts and free up resources.
  6. Check your network configuration to find any issues with your firewall, router, or port settings.
  7. Disable any proxies that may interfere with the login module.
  8. Update or temporarily uninstall any security programs, which may mistakenly identify the login module as a security threat.

It is unfortunate that Diablo 4 lacks an offline mode, and a continuous internet connection is necessary to enjoy the game. This choice made by Blizzard Entertainment is influenced, in part, by the shared open-world design of the game. So during Diablo 4 outages and system issues, players will just have to wait until all services are restored and back online unfortunately.
