This guide talks about the solution to the riddle in the Traveler's Superstition in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 Traveler's Superstition cover

Traveler’s Superstition is a side quest that can be done in Diablo 4. In this quest, players will find another note with a riddle written on it that refers to a nearby statue. The note suggests that interacting with the statue may bring fortune or bad luck. Read ahead as we go through the steps on how to complete the Traveler’s Superstition side quest in Diablo 4.

Traveler’s Superstition side quest Location

The Traveler’s Superstition side quest can be found in the Rotspill Delta of the Hawezar region. It can be started by interacting with the Hastily Scrawled Note near the wreckage of a ship.

Traveler’s Superstition side quest Solution

To start the side quest, pick up the note and it will read as follows:

“Pay your respects to her, and she will see you safely on your way. Ignore her, and suffer the fate of these poor souls.”

Like in the Traveler’s Prayer side quest, this is a quest that requires you to use your emote wheel in order to complete the quest. In this case, you will need to do the right emote near the statue on the wreckage. The riddle is a bit more vague at this point as to what it meant about “paying respects”, but all you need to do is to do the Hello gesture, and a chest will spawn nearby, signaling that you have completed the quest.

Inside the chest are some elixirs, and you will also be rewarded with +20 Hawezar Renown, XP, and some amount of gold for completing the side quest.

To use emotes, open the action or emote wheel by pressing on the E key if you are using a keyboard or the Up arrow if you are using a controller. You can then use the default emotes on the wheel by selecting them with the mouse or the analog stick.

Now, for the second part of the riddle, if you are curious to know, it does not really add anything other than some flair and scare, so you won’t suffer any dire consequences if you completely ignore the statue or use the wrong emote to offend it; you’d just miss out on the chest items and quest rewards.
