Diablo IV Xbox Game Pass Rumor Finally Addressed by Blizzard

No, it's not happening... for now.

Blizzard finally clarifies the Diablo IV Xbox Game Pass rumor.

Diablo IV Xbox Game Pass Rumor Started in Brazilian App

After it was recently advertised that it will be joining the Xbox Game Pass subscription service on a Brazilian Payments App, Blizzard’s president has now come out to set the record straight.

President Finally Clarifies

Blizzard President Mike Ybarra recently posted on his personal Twitter account to finally address the rumors about putting Diablo IV on Xbox Game Pass. He confirmed that with the statement, “This is not happening.”

Acquisition Deal Might Change Minds

So, it will not be coming to Xbox Game Pass after all. While Ybarra confirms that, Microsoft’s head of gaming did say that the company plans to put as many Activision Blizzard titles as it can on the subscription service if the acquisition will push through. Ybarra’s statement might change if its owners will make it happen so, fingers crossed.

“We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much-loved library of games – including Overwatch, Diablo, and Call of Duty – available in Game Pass and to grow those gaming communities,” Xbox boss Phil Spencer said a year ago.

Diablo IV is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
