Game company NIS America recently released a new story trailer that introduces the protagonist of upcoming video game Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny.
The story trailer begs the question: How could Zed, a simple zombie, defeat the god of destruction? In the video, his secret is being exposed.
The game will launch on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2021.
At the heart of Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is Zed, an arrogant zombie who, along with his sister Bieko, is at the bottom of the Netherworld rankings. Danger is at hand when a god of destruction threatens his (un) life. Zed has to gather all his strength! – His unique ability, Super Reincarnation is the only way to face the threat. On his way he allies himself with twisted and colorful inhabitants of the Netherworld, faces many challenges and soon finds out whether even an immortal hooligan like him can defy fate.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny combines a dark adventure with a compassionate story as well as incredibly tactical battles, including completely new gameplay elements that have not been included in any title in the Disgaea series before. Thanks to the new features, newcomers will quickly find their way around the Netherworld and even old Disgaea-hands will have a truly remarkable and unique journey ahead of them. Special attacks and a number of allied units as well as auto, retry and replay functions provide the right challenge for both hardcore and casual players – the game can be easily adapted. If, contrary to expectations, things don’t go as planned, Zed can do the Super Reincarnation re-enter the fight – until it was a little more successful.
