Does Hell Let Loose have cross-play and cross-progression?

Hell Let Loose is a multiplayer 50 versus 50 World War II first-person shooter on PC that launched on July 21, 2021, and the game was recently released on consoles this month on October 5.

Hell Let Loose quickly garnered popularity due to its player-size per match, and the realistic take of the theaters of war during World War II. Now that Hell Let Loose is on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, does it support cross-play and cross-progression?

Games nowadays such as Battlefield, Call of Duty, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Apex Legends have already adapted cross-play and cross-progression, opening the gates for players to play together regardless of platform. However, not all games support the feature.

Does Hell Let Loose support cross-play?

Does Hell Let Loose have cross-play? Team17 already confirmed Hell Let Loose does indeed support cross-play between consoles – the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, the feature is not available between PC and consoles. This was stated in a tweet made by the official Hell Let Loose Twitter page, but there was no explanation as to why they decided to keep “PC and console separate”.

If you are wondering why Hell Let Loose does not support cross-play between PC and consoles, this is most likely because of how it will put console players at a disadvantage if they face PC players on the battlefield. In first-person shooter games, playing with a mouse and keyboard quickly gives you an advantage for accuracy and quick movement.

Does Hell Let Loose support cross-progression?

Hell Let Loose does not have cross-progression across all platforms. This means your PS5 progress won’t be carried over to PC and Xbox Series X|S and vice-versa. This may prove to be inconvenient for some players, but if you ever decide to play on a different platform, you will have to start again from the very beginning.

Team17 did not share any details as to when cross-progression will be available on Hell Let Loose.

Hell Let Loose is one of the free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers in October 2021. The game is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
