Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for PS5 Announced

Game company Square Enix has announced on State of Play that Final Fantasy VII Remake is heading to PS5 as FFVII Remake Intergrade.

Intergrade is an enhanced and expanded version of the original version on PS4. This new version will be available for the PS5. Players who have or have not played the original remake are welcome to get this when it launches in a couple of months.

This version will have improved lighting, texture, and environment with the help of the PS5’s hardware. There are new features like the ability to switch between Graphics Mode and Performance Mode. The prior offers high quality 4K graphics while the latter offers smooth action at 60fps.

Intergrade has the Photo Mode where players can take photos of in-game scenes and save them easily. There is also the new episode that features Yuffie as the main protagonist. There is also a new villain with wild hair, who seems to be Weiss from Dirge of Cerberus fame.

Players who have the physical or digital PS4 version of the original remake can upgrade it to PS5 version without any cost at all. All save data from the PS4 can be carried over to the PS5 version as well. It must be noted though that the new Yuffie episode needs to be purchased separately.

Pre-ordering the digital version of Intergrade can net players with Yuffie’s weapon Cacstar, which can be used in her new episode. There is a Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, which will include a digital artbook and digital mini soundtrack.

It turns out the rumor Final Fantasy VII Remake Ever Crisis is actually FFVII Remake Integrade. It will be available on PS5 on June 10.
