New records show that popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has once again surpassed the Steam concurrent players record just recently.
Game company Valve recently showed the official statistics of the concurrent players record of FFXIV and it shows that it gained 47,542 players online at one time. This surpassed the previous record which was 41,200, which was days before the expansion Shadowbringers was released.
There is actually one reason for its sudden surge of players playing the game on Steam. This is due to popular World of Warcraft Twitch streamer Asmongold trying out the game. He streamed it recently and a lot of fans watched it and also participated in playing.
Media outlet PCGamesN revealed that there were over 200,000 gamers who watched the Twitch streamer play the popular MMORG.
Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and PS5.
