Game company Nintendo revealed the latest Fire Emblem title for Nintendo Switch: Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The release window was also teased.

The new Fire Emblem title to hit the Nintendo Switch got a new trailer during Nintendo’s E3 2018 Direct. It showed different features of the upcoming game with notable changes to visuals, camp features, combat, and more. This innovation is due to the massive difference in power between the Nintendo 3DS and Switch.

Nintendo also gave a brief description of the game’s setting:

A brand-new Fire Emblem game with a new story and characters is coming to Nintendo Switch. The game takes place on Fódlan, where the Church of Seiros exercises great power over the land and its people. This turn-based tactical RPG will put new strategic twists on battling, with formations of troops supporting individual units on the battlefield.

The description of the game’s gameplay and features were also revealed:

  • A traditional turn-based tactical RPG that puts new twists on strategic battling. Now when the player maneuvers a unit, formations of troops move with them and support them in battle.
  • In some parts, the player can move the main character freely, and interact with other characters and gather information.
  • The game is set in a new world—Focilan, where the Church of Seiros exercises great power over the land and people.
  • Your protagonist meets three main characters—Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude—who play important roles in the story.

The upcoming video game will launch sometime in spring 2019.
