Parkour and magic skills exposed!

Square Enix and Luminous Productions have recently released the new Forspoken gameplay trailer revealing more details.

Forspoken Gameplay Trailer Deep Look at Athia

The gameplay trailer is ten minutes long and it gives players a deeper look at the game’s magic-enhanced combat and parkour system in action. It also shows the corrupted enemies and stunningly beautiful, yet cruel, world they will encounter when the game launches early next year.

The new gameplay video gives players a deeper look at some of the areas they will visit in Athia like Cipal, the last remaining haven where the surviving Athians take refuge from the devastating Break. The Break is a powerful force that corrupts anyone and anything that it can touch. Cipal is an important key location for protagonist Frey as it provides her with vital information and goods in preparation for the corrupted land and beasts that she will face outside.

Following Frey on a Quest

The gameplay trailer follows Frey on a quest from Athian archivist Johedy, as she ventures into the wilds of two corrupted areas, Praenost and Avoalet. These two realms featured in the footage are a preview of the various enemies that they can face. It also reveals the versatility of Frey’s magical combat skills. They can either wreak havoc on enemies with controlled frenzy and unleash a barrage of quick-fire spells or they can strategize by using powerful and calculated attacks.

Parkour!

Another part of the video reveals Frey’s magic-enhanced parkour skills that allow her to seamlessly and quickly traverse Athia readying for her next big battle. Players can now explore the world’s lush landscapes and discover a variety of rewards that can enhance her journey and skillset, including mana, which players can use to unlock new magical abilities. It can also unlock powerful gear for stat boost and increases, and collectible items for crafting and trading, and more. Her parkour skills can also be used in combat, which enables her to evade enemy attacks while inflicting damage.
