Epic Games is finally bringing back a mode that got removed from Fortnite a while back.
Fortnite Removes Trios: Big Mistake
Last month, Epic Games removed the Trios mode from Fortnite to introduce Fortnite Ranked. Others speculated that it due to FNCS switched to Duos mode earlier this week and Epic Games is now encouraging this type of team configuration. Others said that it was due to Trio mode that queue times were long and should be kept to a minimum.
This caught amateurs off-guard of the decision and the community was in an uproar. Many loved the Trios mode so it was surprising that they removed it right away. It seems the community moved them because Epic Games changed its mind.
Epic Games Adds it Back: Celebration
In just two weeks since its removal, Epic Games has now added back Trios mode. It will be added back for non-ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. After all that negative feedback from the players, it seems Epic Games gave in and let them have what they wanted.
On the Twitter post of the announcement, many players responded with celebratory gifs, and one even commented that peace has been restored. There is just one caveat from this big win.
Has One Condition Though
Notice that the announcement only said it will only be available for non-Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. Players who want to play in Trios mode in Ranked battles will have to wait for Epic Games to add it back. Many of them noticed that when they go to Ranked Battle Royale they could only do Ranked Solos, Duos, and Squads.
Nonetheless, this is still a big win for the Fortnite community since Epic Games listened to their complaints and added Trios back.
Fortnite is out now on PC, Android, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
