New documents found on the ongoing legal battle between Epic Games and Apple have revealed the majority of profits that Fortnite gains comes from the Sony side.
According to the court documents that were disclosed ahead of the legal battle proper, it was revealed that the PlayStation 4 has generated 46.8 percent of the popular battle royale’s total revenue starting in March 2018 until July 2020. This is nearly half of the full revenue stream.
For those who are wondering of the other platforms, Xbox is the second highest platform to contribute with only 27.5 percent. iOS has generated very low profits, with only 7 percent. This is going to be an important fact in the legal battle between the two giants.
Epic Games earned $1.8 billion in 2019 from the game and most of that comes from the PS4.
Fortnite is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, and previously iOS.
