Epic Games’ remastered version of Gears Of War was just released on the Windows 10 Store. There weren’t any news about the game releasing but it’s officially out on the Windows 10 store with a price of $29.99. The system requirement for Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition is actually a “bit” high:
MINIMUM SPECS: OS 64 bit Windows 10 (v. 1511), Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.7Ghz / AMD FX 6-core, Memory: 8 GB RAM (2 GB VRAM), GPU: AMD R7 260x / NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti, HD Space: 60GB, DirectX12
RECOMMENDED SPECS: OS 64 bit Windows 10 (v. 1511), Processor: Intel Core i5 @3.5GHz+ / AMD FX 6-core, Memory: 8 GB RAM (4 GB VRAM), GPU: AMD R9 290X / NVIDIA GTX 970, HD Space: 60GB, DirectX12
IDEAL SPECS: OS 64 bit Windows 10 (v. 1511), Processor: Intel Core i7 @4GHz+ / AMD FX 8-core, Memory: 16 GB RAM (6 GB VRAM), GPU: AMD R9 390X / NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti, HD Space: 60GB, DirectX12
The Ideal Specs is actually the ULTRA requirements to play smoothly on 4K. 16GB of RAM and 6GB VRam requirements? It’s so far the highest system requirement of any game we see for PC.
Reports are stating that the game is still unstable and AMD Radeon GPU owners are getting performance and graphic problems. According to Game-Debate.com, the benchmark shows double frame-rates when running the game on an R9 290X; outperforming new Radeon GPUs like the Fury and R9 380X GPUs. Microsoft is already working with AMD to fix the problem.
Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition is only available on Windows 10.
