Hoyoverse recently released Genshin Impact update 2.6 and introduced several new content, improvements, changes, and fixes. It seems there was one change that has generated some issues instead according to some players.
The developer shared a statement in regards to the changes they made with Yae Miko in update 2.6, specifically with her Elemental Skill Sesshou Sakura. They made changes that would affect how the “turrets” would target her enemies. They said they made adjustments to the mechanisms by which enemies are targeted and mass optimization to character enemy selection logic based on 1, aimed at fixing targeting issues. It was supposed to make it easier for players to specify targets with Sesshou Sakura.
Instead, some players have complained that it made the turrets confused at their targeting system, making it look like a nerf. One example of the issue was one player trying to destroy a tower with the Sesshou Sakura, but instead it targeted a nearby fallen branch. Another example revealed that if one enemy was carrying a shield, it targeted that one instead of the other enemies nearby. The result would have zero damage on the enemy since it only hit the shield instead of the enemy.
Hoyoverse has since issued a statement saying they are currently monitoring the situation and possibly fixing Yae Miko’s skill again at a later time.
Genshin Impact is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices.
