As a Christmas gift from miHoYo, the publisher is holding a special livestream this weekend to reveal the latest version of Genshin Impact! The stream will begin at 7:00 a.m. UTC-05 / 7:00 a.m. EST on December 26, 2021 this Sunday.
An official Genshin Impact Twitch channel will host the stream, which will detail the game’s most recent update. It’s possible that miHoYo will reveal some new information about the rumored skins for Keqing and Ningguang that have been floating around for a while now during the stream!
Speaking of rumored skins for Ningguang, twitter user @comfypiku recently shared a post of his character glowing:
One user jokingly said that this is Ningguang is just being her true self as this is what her name means:
And other users are saying that this is the transition into transforming to her new skin, haha!
Hopefully Sunday’s event will be a great one. The announcement above has already sparked a great deal of excitement among Genshin Impact supporters. If miHoYo decides to tease the livestream between now and then, fans will have to keep speculating until the livestream begins.
While it’s not always easy to keep players engaged in long-running games, Genshin Impact has clearly found the formula for success. Hopefully, the new version 2.4 will continue in that vein.
MiHoYo, of course, can’t please everyone, and there’s a good chance that some of those specific fan requests will be met with disappointment by the company. However, as long as the game continues to provide a reason for players to stay invested, we’ll be happy.
Genshin Impact is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android.
