miHoYo has recently confirmed on social media that Genshin Impact’s most rumored characters, Yun Jin and Shenhe, are now official new playable characters.
The two new characters that miHoYo has recently introduced in the game’s official Twitter account have been rumored for a long while now especially Shenhe. Yun Jin was rumored to be a new Geo Polearm user with ties to Liyue and some entertainment troupe, according to the leaks, but now most of them are confirmed.
Yun Jin is officially a Geo Polearm user and a director of the Yun-Han Opera Troupe. The leaked images though do not give her justice compared to the official image that miHoYo released. It has the same colors though, the dark purple and red/pinkish color theme. She is also the famous figure in Liyue Harbor’s opera scene, which means she is one of the members who act.
Actually, Yun Jin was mentioned for a long while now by multiple NPCs in the game’s main storyline. It will not be long now until we get a new video showcasing her gameplay.
The second most rumored character is Shenhe, another Polearm user, but this time a Cryo character. There have been images of her floating around forums for a while now and it seems to be close to her final look. She comes from a branch family of a clan of exorcists, much like Chongyun, a young Cryo Claymore user and also from a clan of exorcists.
Shenhe has been taken as a disciple of Cloud Retainer. She has learned a lot of skills from the great adeptus and describes her as a knowledgeable and chatty master. Many thought this was Cloud Retainer’s human form, which seems that was misunderstood. She as actually another person but related to Cloud Retainer.
Rumor has it that Shenhe will be a 5 Star character while Yun Jin will be a 4 Star character. No official confirmation of that yet and take that as a grain of salt.
Genshin Impact is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Android, and iOS.
