Game publisher Ubisoft has recently released a new update for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands called the New Assignment. The update will bring new content for players to try out like new classes, new tools, and more.

Ghost Recon Wildlands New Assignment update sizes on all platforms

The new update: New Assignment is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Players will expect the patch to have a 4 GB size on Steam, 15 GB on the Uplay platform, and up to 15 GB on the consoles. To access the online features, they must restart their platforms after applying the update.

New Assignment adds new voting tool

Two new maps and a new tool

The New Assignment update added new contents to try out like two new maps. The Refinery is an industrial factory that houses the largest cocaine lab in Bolivia. Players can expect multiple pathways and a large defender area.

The Cliffside map was once a Rebel stronghold in the past. Santa Blanca compatriots now protect the village. Extraction mode will be interesting to play with the abundance of tall buildings and other sniping vantage points.

The update also added the new map-voting tool. Players can now vote for one of the three possible maps at the start of a match they join in.

New Assignment adds three new classes

    New classes to try out

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands new update added three new classes: Guerilla, Stalker, and the Trapper. Players can get this through the Season Pass and the Ghost War Pass. They can also get these classes with the Prestige Credits.

Stalkers are from the Marksman class with two passive abilities, which are silent shots from certain distances and silent marking. Enemies cannot hear the shots or see any sound markers with the first ability. The second one allows them to mark enemies without letting them have any notification.

The Guerilla is a Support class, which are able to control a drone that can shoot smoke grenades. Opponents in the smoke radius will be occluded, which is a big advantage for this class. It also allows them to support other players while under the cover of this smokescreen.

The Trapper is another Marksman class with two abilities: passive and active. Downed enemies will permanently be marked on the HUD for all friendlies to see. He can also place gas traps from a distance, which knocks out opponents.

    Bug fixes

The New Assignment update fixed several bug issues too. There are many fixes on all platforms, but there were also a few specific fixes for certain platforms.
